DESCRIPTION:Today\, April 1\, 2024\, is the last day to submit your materials for the MCC “New Writers” Contest 2024! \nThis annual writing contest is open to all New Hampshire high school students. \nCategories and guidelines for submissions include: \n\nPOETRY: No more than 4 poems per applicant | No length limit\nFICTION: No more than 2 stories per applicant | 7 pages or less\nNONFICTION / CREATIVE NONFICTION: No more than 2 essays per applicant | 7 pages or less\n\nPrizes will be awarded in each category. Contest winners will be:  \n\nRecognized at the MCC Celebration of Writers event in April 2024\nAwarded a scholarship for a course at Manchester Community College\n\nTo Submit: \nEntrees should be sent as a Word document\, using the guidelines listed above \n\nEmail your entrees to Colleen Jennings (cjennings@ccsnh.edu).\n\n  \nFor questions about the contest and how to submit your materials\, or more about the MCC English or Humanities programs\, contact Colleen Jennings\, MCC English & Humanities Chair. \n  \n
