DESCRIPTION:Join the MCC community for a hands-on volunteer Build Day with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Help build bed components for local children who do not have beds of their own. SUMMARY:Human Services Expo
DESCRIPTION:MCC’s 4th Human Services Expo will be held in the MPR on Wednesday\, April 29th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This event is open to the entire MCC Community as well as the general public in an effort to spread the word about Human Services as both a discipline of study and a career opportunity. \nThe New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and area Human Services agencies will participate in a speed-dating activity where attendees will go from table to table to learn about diverse types of work available in the field. They will engage in brief discussions and answer questions about their area of expertise. DHHS is one of the largest employers in the State of NH and they hire from all disciplines from HVAC to Electrical Technicians\, from Marketing to Nursing. Their Human Resources personnel will be available to discuss opportunities with students from all our programs and assist them with the application process so send your students to meet with them.

DESCRIPTION:Student Senate announces that the 26th Annual Spotlight on Leadership will be held on Friday May 1st at 6 PM at the Derryfield Event Center. All MCC students who were involved in MCC Clubs and Organizations this academic year are invited via their club\, along with their club advisors\, This special end-of-the year event celebrates student leadership and involvement. Each club provides a year-end highlight and selects an MVP and Rising Star. Each year Club Awards are presented to the Club of the Year\, Rising Star Club of the Year and Humanitarian Club of the Year. Their club’s name will be added to the plaques outside of the Student Center. Any faculty or staff member who is not a club advisor\, but interested in attending\, please connect with Aileen at aclay@ccsnh.edu. All are welcome to join us\, but we will request $25 toward the cost of the meal.

DESCRIPTION:The Evening of Excellence is an evening where MCC honors recipients of its Academic Program Achievement Awards\, each of our Excellence Awards in Resilience & Inspiration\, Visionary Leadership and Community Impact and The Vice President’s Student Award. This year’s Event will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday\, May 12th\, at the Derryfield Restaurant located at 625 Mammoth Road in Manchester\, NH. \n·     This is an invitation-only event – invites with an RSVP link will be sent out the week of April 14th \n·     It is a business casual event with a sit-down\, catered dinner and cash bar. \n·     The presenter of the award to the nominee may attend for free. \n·     The presenter will be called to the podium to say a few words about the nominee. \n·     The nominee will be presented with their award(s) and photos will be taken. \n·     Any faculty of a department that has a nominee may attend\, even if they are not a presenter\, for the fee of $25/person.
