Come hear stories in time for Halloween about a region rich in ghosts\, witches\, vampires\, lake-dwelling monsters\, cannibalistic ice giants\, and more beyond the imagination. The ideas of spirits are not merely sensational\, but often grounded in people’s understanding of the world. How is calling the bump in the night a ghost rational to somebody? \nCome find out more on October 30th from 1-2 with Professor Kim Kulesza\, an anthropologist of religion and magic (and a descendant of two executed “witches” of the Salem Witch Trials).
