Athletics

Welcome to MCC Athletics!

At MCC, we are dedicated to providing you with a well-rounded college experience. As a student athlete you can gain valuable skills and experiences that will benefit you both on and off of the field.

MCC Athletics provides you with many opportunities to engage in competitive and recreational sports.

As a student you can choose from:

  • Club and intramural sports participation
  • One-on-one or small group recreation pick-up games

By joining the Athletics Program (Go Nighthawks!), you can gain valuable skills and experiences that will benefit you, and your career path, both on and off the field.

Club Sports

MCC offers a variety of club sports such as Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Basketball and eSports for both men and women. These sports have been carefully selected based on the interests and preferences of our student body. We encourage everyone to join one or more of these clubs and be a part of our growing Nighthawks athletic community.

Intramural and Recreational Sports

If students want to start their own intramural league, they can do so by contacting the Athletic Coordinator. This will enable students to play organized games and compete against one another in a structured manner. On the other hand, students are free to play pickup games for fun. Students can see when the MPR is scheduled on the TV monitor in the Student Pit area. Outside of those certain hours, the MPR is operational.

Competition with Neighboring Colleges

As a club sports participant you will have the opportunity to compete against other colleges in the surrounding area. This not only fosters healthy competition but also provides the chance for you to showcase your skills and represent MCC. We believe this helps create a sense of camaraderie among our athletes and fosters strong bonds within the college community.

Joining the YSCC

MCC’s ultimate goal is to become a part of the prestigious Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC). The YCCC conference includes community colleges from all over New England and provides opportunities for both competitive and recreational play. We are committed to working hard towards meeting all requirements needed to join the conference and are excited about the potential for our athletes to compete at a higher level.

Club Sports Competition Teams

MCC is excited to announce the expansion of its Athletics Program with new club sports competition teams in Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball and eSports!

See the chart below for more information about each team.
