Student Volunteers in the Community

As Manchester Community College, we are focused on our local community, as well as supporting community beyond Manchester – throughout the state and even globally. As a student here, you can get involved with community service throughout the year, including:

  • Building beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for local children who don’t currently have their own beds;
  • Sewing blankets as part of the bed build activities;
  • Collecting children’s books for local Head Start program;
  • Donating holiday gifts to MCC families in need;
  • Writing cards for our service men and women serving oversees with Holiday Cards 4 our Military organization;
  • Sending notes of support and puzzles to veterans at the Manchester VA hospital;
  • Partnering with Gear Up Manchester to provide a summer program (career exploration and activities) for Manchester high school youth;
  • Collecting educational toys and games for the children in the NH Migrant Education program;
  • Travel and serving on one of MCC’s Alternative Break Trips;
  • Volunteering at Families in Transition thrift store
  • And many more!
