Community Service
Nighthawks in Action

At Manchester Community College, we’re committed to making a difference—locally, statewide, and even globally.
As a student, you’ll have many opportunities to get involved in community service. Whether you’re passionate about helping others, building leadership skills, or making meaningful connections, there’s a way for you to give back.
Here are just a few of our service traditions:
- Annual Build Day – Partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for local children who don’t have one of their own
- Fleece Blanket Drive – Making and donating no-sew fleece blankets to various organizations
- Support for the Pass Along Project – Collecting and sorting clothing for kids entering foster care
- Holiday Giving – Donating gifts to local families in need during the holiday season
- Cards for Troops – Sending handwritten cards to service men and women stationed overseas
- Local School Support – Writing notes of encouragement and collecting school supplies for local students
- My Campus Cupboard Donations – Gathering food and essential items for MCC’s on-campus food pantry
- Alternative Break Trips – Traveling with fellow students to serve communities beyond our own
While the majority of our MCC clubs include service in their work, Helping Hands is a student organization whose mission is 100% dedicated to service to others. Check them out!
